Adriaan Hoek studeerde orgel en kerkmuziek aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium waar hij in 2016 summa cum laude afstudeerde als Master of Music.

Adriaan won acht eerste prijzen op internationale orgelconcoursen in Nederland, Duitsland, Oostenrijk, Italië en Amerika. Als kerkmusicus is hij sinds 2015 verbonden aan het Ikazia Ziekenhuis te Rotterdam en vanaf 2022 aan de Marekerk te Leiden.
Vanaf zomer 2022 is hij benoemd tot stadsorganist van Rotterdam. In die functie is hij de vaste bespeler van het Standaart-concertorgel in de Burgerzaal van het Stadhuis en het vier klaviers Flentrop orgel in Concertgebouw De Doelen.
Adriaan speelt graag de hele breedte van het orgelrepertoire, van middeleeuwse tot 21e eeuwse muziek en alles daar tussenin.

Adriaan a remporté huit premiers prix lors de concours internationaux d'orgue aux Pays-Bas, en Allemagne, en Autriche, en Italie et en Amérique. En tant que musicien d'église, il est affilié à l'hôpital Ikazia de Rotterdam depuis 2015 et à l'hôpital Marekerk de Leiden depuis 2022.
À partir de l'été 2022, il a été nommé organiste de la ville de Rotterdam. À ce titre, il joue régulièrement de l'orgue de concert Standaart dans la salle civique de l'hôtel de ville et de l'orgue Flentrop à quatre claviers au Concertgebouw De Doelen.
Adriaan aime jouer tout le répertoire de l'orgue, de la musique médiévale à la musique du XXIe siècle et tout ce qui se trouve entre les deux.
Adriaan won eight first prizes at international organ competitions in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Italy and America. As a church musician, he has been affiliated with the Ikazia Hospital in Rotterdam since 2015 and with the Marekerk in Leiden from 2022.
From summer 2022, he has been appointed city organist of Rotterdam. In that position, he is the regular player of the Standaart concert organ in the Civic Hall of the City Hall and the four-manual Flentrop organ in Concertgebouw De Doelen.
Adriaan enjoys playing the entire breadth of the organ repertoire, from medieval to 21st century music and everything in between.
